Well, It’s official. I am now part of the Alea Iacta Est guild as of a few hours ago:
I would say that I was their newest member but I saw at least 5 or 6 nw members join the guild in the hour or two I played online after joining. It seems like a good group of people so far as I can tell so far so I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes.

I almost hate having yet another World of Warcast update on my blog but as I don’t have much else happening in my sad little life I don’t have much else to talk about. This update though is not about Trillion.
I do have a WOW life outside of the Alliance, I have a number of characters on the Shandris server that are all on the Horde. My highest level character is my recently dinged level 40 female Blood Elf Hunter:
Till earlier today she was known by the name of Yoruichi from the anime called Bleach. While listening to the most recent episode of the podcast: The Instance I heard that they had opened the application process for their WOW guild called Alea Iacta Est on the Earthen Ring server. Alea Iacta Est is Latin for “The die is cast”.
I’ve heard about this guild from the podcast since it started and it always seemed like the type of group I was looking for. Friendly people who liked to have fun and didn’t always take the game too seriously. I decided to move one of my characters to that server and see if I could join up. I was a little bummed that I couldn’t bring Trillion as she is Alliance but I figured I needed a break from her till the next WOW expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, comes out.
So, $25.00 and 24 hours later Yoruichi no longer exists on Shandris for me. In fact, she doesn’t exist for me at all. Looks like I had to rename my character as the name was already taken on the new server. I decided to stay with the anime theme as that’s such a huge part of my life. I went with the name Konata from one of my most favorite new shows called Lucky Star. Here is a picture of the real Konata from the show:

Thankfully the move went very well, I didn’t loose anything. I’m also happy that I had some money on that character. I have a L20 mage called Chii that was my bank character so she had most of the cash. I was so excited about making the character move that I forgot to check if she had enough gold on her. I wouldn’t be able to send her anything once she was on a new server. Thankfully she had about 26 gold on her so that will be enough to tide her over till she gets started working full time.
Need to make sure I have all the cash I need to get my L60 mount. After flying around on my elite bird with Trillion that 60% speed increase of the Level 40 mount is unbelievably slow.
If things work out I should be posting soon that I’m in the new guild and happy as a clam:
