Well, it’s been a little while since I’ve have a chance to put anything here. It’s because I’ve been doing a little “website” move and transferring my domain name and web hosting to another company: HostYume
So far it’s great. I have tons of storage space on their servers (15 gigs) and huge amounts of bandwidth. I love the control panel for managing the site, it’s very simple and lets you do just about anything you would need to do for database, DNS, FTP, email… so on. So far the servers response seems very good also, I have a 30 day money back guarantee if I’m not happy, so how can I loose????
I’ve been spending most of my time waiting for the DNS to finish propagating and then working on setting up the data base, working on the email accounts, and making sure that I get the blog software from WordPress to talk to the database. I think I’m about finished with that. I just need to work on setting up the other pages in the blog for image galleries and files.
As for now, here’s a picture of my bird George (a Quaker parakeet) and my roommates bird Jimmy (a Conure) after finishing off one of their favorite foods. A chicken wing.

Those sick cannibals.

Manga = Good
Free Manga = Better
Good Free Manga = The Best!!!
If you haven’t seen MegaTokyo yet you need to take a look. It’s been going on for almost 6 years now so I know it’s nothing new to many of you out there. The manga starts out with two bone-head video game junkies, how they end up getting stuck in Japan and what they do while trying to get home. The best part about this manga isn’t the art, though it is very nice, it’s the character development and interactions.
The main characters are Piro, the otaku, anime fan-boy, self loathing artist type and his friend Largo, the video game master, computer expert, hacker, delusional beer lover. It takes a little while before the story starts to really develop and you get the see the characters grow so don’t give up on it too early.
There are currently over 800 postings to the comic now and if you have never read this before you have a few good hours of reading that you can get caught up on. The site is currently updated about 3 times a week so it’s growing at a good pace.
I strongly suggest checking this out: Mega Tokyo (First Post).

And to those who say that MegaTokyo is not manga because it’s created by an American…. Well, “Excuuuse…Meee!“
I just got a new GK the other day from cwmodels on HobbyFanatics that I can’t wait to get started on. It’s Ritsuko Kubel Kettenkraftrad from the small OVA called Kujibiki Unbalance. Kujibiki was featured as a popular anime show within the very funny anime Genshiken.
If you have not seen Genshiken, stop what you are doing and go see it now.
In Genshiken you only get to see small clips from Kujibiki but on the DVD’s the creators included 3 full Kujibiki episodes to watch.
The model I received is a recast of the original from a great guy at hobbyfanatics.com. The quality is very good. There are some seam lines as you may expect but nothing too bad. I didn’t notice any pin holes, the surface looked nice and smooth.

I’ve been involved with model making for many years on and off but have not spent much time on figures and I am very new to resin. I can’t wait to get started on this kit, but wait I must.

I am going to be moving to a new apartment in the next month or two so I am working on packing up my stuff and not getting involved with any projects at this time. I’ve decided to put all of my work on hold till I can setup my hobby table at the new place. Till then I’ll be spending most of my free time with World of Warcraft I’m sure.

Hello,
Well, this is the first posting of my blog. I used WordPress software as I’m somewhat familiar with it and it works so nice. If you are thinking of starting a blog of your own I suggest checking it out. Hey, it’s free, so you can’t go wrong.
I plan on using this blog as a substitute website to cover my various hobbies, offer wallpaper, share pictures, and just give information that I find interesting. Mostly time will be given to my many hobbies.
I tend to jump around between what I am interested in, anything from building Garage Kits (scale resin figures) of anime characters, painting, 3D computer modeling, watching anime, bittorent information, video games, music, guitar, manga. and so on.
I am also interested in writing and recording music. I have played guitar for a little over 20 years now and I have written a number of songs but never put much time into it as it used to be so expensive to do a good home recording. Over the last few years it’s become so affordable to make multi-track digital recordings at home that I’m thinking of getting back into recording again.
(Too many hobbies!!!)
